The VMA‘s had to make an impact, yet again. 2009 was no exception, with numerous jaw-dropping moments. MTV has announced their nominees for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and two leading ladies are running for the most moon-men!
Tied for the most nods are Beyonce and Lady GaGa with 9 each (although Beyonce’s all 9 are for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” and Lady GaGa’s are mixed between her “Poker Face” and “Paparazzi“), going head to head in Video of the Year and Female Video among others. Following them are Britney Spears with 7 nods for her “Womanizer” and “Circus” videos, and Coldplay with 4. Also with 4 nominations are Kanye West and Eminem, who go head to head in all 4 categories, including Video of the Year and Male Video.
The show will once again be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand, and will air live all over the world on MTV September 13. You can vote now at www.mtv.com. A full list of nominees follows, after the jump.
